Jean-Marie Represents Tennessee at 2013 Ms. Wheelchair America Pageant

Last week, August 6 – August 12, 2012, Jean-Marie Lawrence proudly represented Tennessee at the 2013 Ms. Wheelchair America Pageant in Providence, Rhode Island. Jean-Marie was among 28 outstanding women that competed for the title. On Saturday August 12, 2012, Ms. Wheelchair Texas, Mariah Kilbourne, was crowned Ms. Wheelchair America 2013. We wish the best to Ms. Wheelchair America 2013 as she represents the disability community over the next year.

The night before the crowning, Jean-Marie delivered her platform speech on transportation for an audience of several hundred people at the Renaissance Hotel in downtown Providence. Her speech can be seen below.

Congratulations Jean-Marie! You did a great job!
