Ms. Wheelchair Tennessee 2003 – Julia Hollenbeck

Julia Hollenbeck, originally from Honolulu, Hawaii, lives in Clarksville, TN and has three sons, one daughter, and four grandchildren. She is the founder of “Wheel Me On…” a nonprofit organization dedicated to supporting wheelchair users across the country with “encouragement, solutions, and humor”. She began the organization and website in 1998.

Julia went to school in Hawaii and studied marketing and administration. Arts of all sorts have always had an allure for her, and she has explored photography, creative writing, and dance. Julia volunteers with and is a member of several organizations, including the Clarksville Chamber of Commerce and the Mid-South Chapter of Paralyzed Veterans of America (PVA). In addition she is an advocate for several agencies and serves as a peer counselor. On the 10th anniversary of the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) she carried the Martin Luther King, Jr. torch on its way to being united with the ADA torch. Julia also hosted a workshop at the Ms. Wheelchair Tennessee 2012 pageant.
